Hen Party Time!

These are fabulously fun to knit!

Knitted as you go and joined/ seamed as you go (with lots of colour diagrams to help you along the way!)

I’ve also given you three hens’ feather colour versions and yarn types - one experimental one using super bulky/ chunky yarn which actually worked out rather ok I think!

In fact, as an after thought I think the largest hen would work well as a knitter door stop - simple put in a heavy-ish pebble into her bottom tail feathers as you stuff her!

What extra materials will you need -
6mm (8mm would work too) toy eyes - pink ones if you can (I found mine on Celloexpress)
And yarn - I choose, again, Garnstudio Drops yarn - it’s good value and beautiful quality is, I think, unmatched by anything else.
They do have a stockists’ list and also there are plenty of sellers on Etsy and Ebay who stock and ship globally I also used a new yarn for me DHG yarns - the super bulky/ chunky yarn was their Plumo, shade Snow.

I hope by giving you three yarn options you can see how you can mix a match a variety of yarn to get the effect you’re after

The only yarns I’d avoid is pure cotton or mercerised cotton yarn - it just doesn’t work with short rows in the case.
