This pattern is maybe not the most traditional Icelandic Wool sweater style, I’m calling it Hending (Lopapeysa). Hending means an event or something that happens, an incident or occurrence. I threw this together as a sample to see different color combos for another project. And as I looked at it more and more, I just had to make it a pattern! I’m loving the untraditional but traditional look of my Hending pattern.

Hending sweater is knitted from the bottom up in the round.

Gauge
10x10cm = 18 sts and 26 rows on 5mm needles.

Circular needles: 4mm and 5mm, 40 and 60/80 cm (depending on your size)

Double-pointed needles: 4mm and 5mm

NOTE: I knit quite tightly so you may need to use 4,5mm or even 4mm I recommend knitting a swatch to test the tension.
