I named this design Hendrick’s because these spring hats absolutely remind me of springtime Gin and Tonics!!

Some strong lines are featured on these caps, but the yarn and the smaller details in the pattern make the hats feel somewhat soft and delicate. The allover motif features a beautifully detailed cable cross that makes this pattern quite special - look closely! The crown features some some beautiful lines as well - some bold and some delicate, and the brim detail plays off the first cable cross in the main motif.

I’m always a little smitten by the colors and fibers that Eden Cottage Yarns dreams up. This time I chose her Bowland Aran. It’s so soft and squishy, with the slightest sheen and some really gorgeous stitch definition.

And these greens are just perfect to brighten up your coat and make it feel like part of an early spring outfit, don’t you think?

The darker green is the Cedar colorway, and the lighter one with subtle speckles is Dale. As I said before, both of these greens remind me of a crisp Gin and Tonic, garnished with a sliced lime, hence the Hendrick’s name!

Pattern is both charted and written, and notes are included about modifying for either depth or width.
