This cute sausage dog makes a lovely baby shower gift, and you can use up all your odds and ends of yarn at the same time.

I’ve included the colour scheme I used to make Henry in the pattern, however don’t be afraid to use the yarn you have available to experiment and make up your own – he will look just as cheerful in any colourway.

I haven’t included a gauge as the final size isn’t critical, and will vary depending on how well you stuff Henry. You can also adjust the final size by changing the size of hook you use. I used a 3mm hook so that the stitches were tighter and less stuffing could be seen through them once finished. The approximate final size with a 3mm hook is 39cm length, 18cm height and 10cm width.

I used odds and ends of varying dk yarn, but this pattern will use approximately 100g in total.

This is my first venture into writing a pattern for a soft toy so any comments/feedback would be welcome so that the pattern can be improved where needed.
