I often see requests in crochet groups for modern, boy-friendly baby blanket patterns. When I found out I was due with baby boy #3, I wanted the same!

This blanket pattern uses a modern ribbed edging on either end, and the big, bold color blocks are of alternating textures and are each separated by a thin white line for a modern finished look that has great visual interest without becoming too fancy. This blanket would work great for a boy or a girl.
