Pattern Description from Cast On, August-October 2009: “When we get a new family member, by marriage or by birth, the tradition has been to make a one-of-a-kind stocking for that person in time for their first Christmas. I love making Fair Isle Christmas socks and thought that an oversized one would make a great stocking. This one was designed for our newest nephew, a big-cheeked bundle of joy names Henry. It has simple stranded motifs and the short row, garter stitch heel and the stockinette toe are worked with stripes of the contrasting colors.”
