This is a pattern for a beanie hat, using a mixture of yarns - Herdwick, Swaledale and Hebridean in both natural colours, and dyed yarns. It takes around 60 grams of yarn to make the beanie hat.

The colours are influenced by a trip to Scotland last month. We took a little boat ride on Loch Lochy with some friends and although it was warm onshore, on the water it was a bit chilly. I had my trusty stash with me and it happened to contain the same colours as I could see on the mountains and fells around the lake, lovely browns, greys and oranges and greens. Suffice to say that I knitted it on the way down the lake and was wearing it on the way back up! It was toasty warm and fitted into the landscape perfectly.

I sell kits containing all the colours, plus other colourways as the natual dyed yarns become available, depending on the time of year.
