Top down - use as much yarn as you want

Hermanni beanies are simple ribbing beanies knitted top down. There are two models with slightly different ribbings for crown area in overall five sizes. Once increases in crown are done, height can be freely modified based on yarn availability and style preferences. Hight guided in the instructions allow hem folding once or twice. Instructions don’t include decoration at the top, but e.g. pompom or tassel can be easily added.

Two versions in one pattern

Hermanni beanie 1 comes in three sizes and have four increasing sectors in the crown area. Purl stitches create vertical “stripes” and gives rhythm to this traditional beanie structure. Hem of this model can be this same pattern continuing to almost bind off or alternatively longer k2p2 ribbing.

Hermanni beanie 2 comes in two sizes and have ten increasing sectors in the crown area. Pattern is k2p2 ribbing from top down.

Patterns are technically edited and test knitted for all sizes.
