From the Knit Picks Website:

These luscious herringbone slip stitch socks are designed especially for Knit Picks Risata fingering weight yarn. The rich, saturated colors complement the subtle textures of these extremely wearable socks. The color work and the texture are truly easy to knit and the pattern becomes second-nature very quickly: One row is knit. The other row is a simple combination of slipped and knit stitches. This pattern is great fun to play with! Pick your three favorite Risata colors and use the most contrasting one for the herringbone background. Extend the toe pattern up the foot… up the entire sock perhaps. Would you prefer a sock without a contrasting heel? Feel free to knit it the same as the main color. (If you do, however, be sure to purchase 2 skeins of the main color.)
