The Herron Braided Blanket was created in loving memory of a very special lady from my church. Ms. Herron once asked me to make a baby blanket for a family member, and I was honored to do so. Not long after that blanket was finished, she left this earth to meet her loving Savior.

Her kindness and gentle spirit stayed with me, and a few months later I felt inspired to design this blanket in her memory. As I worked through the stitches, I thought about the warmth, love, and comfort she shared with those around her.

It is my hope that every Herron Braided Blanket made will carry a little reminder of the warmth, kindness, and love that Ms. Herron brought into the lives of those who knew her.

This pattern is easily adjustable in both length and width, allowing you to customize it to your preference. It looks beautiful in any yarn color and works well with a variety of yarn weights and hook sizes.

Materials

➤Yarn: #4/Worsted Weight (I used RHSS Ombre in Baja Blue.)
NOTE: Easy to adjust size, so can be made in most any weight yarn.
➤Yardage: 1500 - 1750 yds
➤Hooks: 5.0 mm (Border) & 6.0 mm (Body)
NOTE: On Body go UP at least 1 hook size from yarn label for better drape.
