The “task” was creating sock for a young lady she could use lounging on her couch and from time to time walk over the wooden floor.

So I made cute lacy hearts on top, smaller hearts of knit and purl stitches on the short leg part and a sole with slipped stitches for extra insulation when walking over the floor.

The slip-stitch pattern is very stretchy. So when knitted the sole seems to be shorter than the upper part of the foot, but no worries, once you put them on the sole will stretch and everything is fine.

For the material any 4ply sock wool will be fine.
Sadly It takes a little more than one 50g skein…

The pattern is fully written, but there is an extra section that explains the principle of construction, if following the instructions round by round seems to tedious.
