Hesselbalaclava

Pinde: 4 mm, 3.5 mm
Garn: Silkemohair

Hessel balaclava

Hat and cowl in one, stays in place and doubles as a faux hoodie under your favorite coat, too.

You knit the balaclava top down with cables with two threads of silk mohair held together. At first you knit a rectangle, then pick up stitches along the edge. You finish by knitting 1x1 ribbing to form the neck and frame the face. The pattern consists of 6 rows that you repeat throughout. You will find videos to guide you inserted in the text below.

The pattern is onesize, and the finished measurements: L: approx. 40 cm / 15.5 inches, W: approx. 23 cm / 9 inches. But length is easily customizable and you can choose between a snug or a baggy version, casting off in rib or with Italian bind-off.
