In my neck of the woods, 2018 has been down right frigid with many days staying well in the negative temps.

Hettinger is a town of about 1,200 people in southwestern North Dakota. On January 1, 2018, Hettinger, North Dakota, rang in the new year with an air temperature of -45 and was the coldest recorded temperature on earth for that day.

That kind of cold demands a thick warm hat and cowl.

Yarn: Bulky (200 yds of Malabrigo Chunky and 60 yds of Lion Brand Fisherman’s Wool Worsted (held double) and Malabrigo Mecha used in samples)

Needles: Circular and/or DPN Needles size 7 (4.5 mm) and size 8 (5.0 mm) and just circular in size 10 (6.0 mm)
