GENERAL INFORMATION
A Granny square has four corners and four sides, this pattern is called a hex square as it has six sides like a hexagon, which when folded creates an L which forms part of the sleeves, front and back panel. This pattern uses mainly 3 treble stitches which creates a V working into a 2ch gap along the edge twice into and a 3ch gap that creates the corner. A htr and bobble stitch are used for the sleeves.
This pattern uses British terminology, it is important to keep the stitches correct for each row as this may cause misshaping to occur
The pattern is made using 2 balls of dk wool at the same time, chunky wool, more strands, or a larger hook can be used but will the effect the tension.
The pattern is in 4 sizes, you will need to measure your body and decide which size you would like to make. All sizes are the same cuff, arm length and garment length, but you can always change the patterns to suit your size, by adding more rows to the arm when using the htr stitch or adding more stitches
The pattern refers to yarn (A) & (B) you can use the same colour throughout or change when you feel
It is important you measure correctly and at the right places,
You need to measure:
Chest
Around the bicep/ top of arm
The epaulette up the sleeves and shoulder is 11cm across, your hex square will be the upper arm measurement minus 11cm.
