Hexed! is a textured asymmetrical triangle shawl showcasing an evolving hexagon pattern that is engaging (but not hard) to knit. The versions shown use 3 main colors and a single contrast color, but you could also use a single main color or multiple contrast colors—playing with colors is half the fun of this project! Hexed! is a quick knit composed of only knit, purl, and slipped stitches and is worked bottom up with increases occurring at the edges. This pattern is for advanced beginners; written instructions are used throughout.

9/19/14 I had a couple questions about the shawl construction. Hexed is actually a simple knit. The hexagons are formed by strategically placed slipped stitches which are worked in the contrast color stripes. So the knitting is mainly stripes with contrast color slipped stitches.

Stitches used: knit, purl, slip purl-wise, kfb increase.
