About the Pattern:
I wanted to make something with an organic shape. It’s not messy, it’s soft. I wanted you to put it on and feel like a soft fluffy bloom on pampas grass, a bumpy dense moss, or a frosty bud. It’s cozy, squishy, and unbelievably tender of an item with all the looks of a classic textured beanie. This hat is knit holding a tweed DK and brushed alpaca/silk lace together. You won’t get cold in this one ❄️
Yarn:
The pattern uses the following held together:
100 g/ 231 yds of DK
and
50 g/ 328 yds of brushed lace weight
Note: There was leftover yarn, but to be safe we suggest one skein of each.

Pattern Notes Before You Begin:
- Color: The hat can be created by holding two yarns of the same color family, or they can be different! The brushed lace yarn will create a halo of the secondary color around the yarn. If you are not sure what colors to pair, pick two similar or use a white yarn for your brushed skein! That will give you a soft, pastel effect to your main color, but not muddy or drown it out.
- Tweed: I used a tonal tweed for my DK skein, but you can use any type of DK you would like! The texture stitch does tend to look better on tonals, softly speckled or tweed yarns
- Sizes: There are two sizes available. The smaller size will fit like a regular beanie on an avg women’s head. Then larger size is for an oversized look, or large heads.
- The finished hat can be worn with the doubled brim folded up for extra warmth, or down and look like a slouchy beanie.
