The pattern will look gorgeous using not only few different solid colors, but also ombre, one solid color (it really looks amazing in one solid color!), self striping (with long color changes like Mandala, Caron Cakes, Sirdar Color Wheel or Sirdar Snuggly Pattercake) or long gradient yarn. You can use this pattern to create any size square blanket or you can join squares together to create a stunning king size bed cover.

Round 16 - at the end of the round should be “slst to the top of btsc”.
Round 18 - beginning of 4th line. After pop, instead of “(1dc, 1exdc) into top of middle…” should be “1dc, 1exdc into top of middle…” as those st do not go into the same st.
Through all the pattern: corrected st name: btsc replaced with shallow back post single crochet, btdc replaced with shallow back post double crochet.
