The Tyrells, in George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire Series, are one of the most loved families in Westeros, but they are also one of the most ruthless.
The shawl celebrates the beauty, complexity and mystery of the ambitious women who hale from Highgarden. This asymmetrical crescent-shaped shawl looks complicated, but the simple use of
increases and decreases creates the shape and the lace patterns flow easily from one motif to the next. The shape and beading allow it to sit nicely when worn, and stay in place without the use of a shawl pin.
The top and bottom edges are knit on after the body of the shawl is completed. The shawl is heavily beaded, however beading is completely optional.
Beaded or not, it’s the perfect shawl for anyone who aspires to be Queen - even if just for a day.
