High Tide Cardigan
High Tide is a cardigan designed to be as enjoyable to knit as it is to wear.
Worked from the top down, it combines short rows and textured stitches that make each stage dynamic and engaging.
Its relaxed, boxy silhouette makes it easy to wear, while the textured lower section invites you to play with small amounts of yarn and create unique combinations.
It works beautifully with both soft, delicate yarns and more rustic fibers, resulting in a warm, enveloping piece with a distinctly wintry feel.

38 (41, 44, 51) (53, 57, 61, 68, 73) cm

Body length (underarm to hem):
25–40 cm / 10–15.75” (adjustable)

Sleeve length:
43–46 cm / 17–18”

Recommended Ease

Approx. 10 cm / 4” positive ease.

To choose your size, measure your full bust and add your desired ease.
You can also measure a favorite cardigan to determine your preferred fit.

Yarn

DK weight yarn

C1:
683 (760, 827, 942) (1023, 1137, 1218, 1340, 1447) m

C2 & C3:
138 (155, 172, 189) (205, 225, 242, 259, 276) m each

Suggested yarn:
Life in the Long Grass – Highland DK
(100% Highland wool, non-superwash)

C1: Dusk Rose
C2 & C3: Chestnut & Smoked Mulberry

A non-superwash wool with good cohesion is recommended to enhance the texture of the English Rose Tweed stitch.

Needles

Main fabric:
4.0 mm (US 6) circular needles

Ribbing:
3.25 mm (US 3) circular needles

Sleeves:
4.0 mm (US 6) circular needles or preferred method for small circumferences

Gauge

20 sts and 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm in Andalusian stitch (blocked)
18 sts and 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm in English Rose Tweed stitch (blocked)

Check gauge in both textures.

Construction

This cardigan is worked flat from the top down.

The back and fronts are worked separately to shape the dropped shoulders using short rows, then joined at the underarm. The body is worked flat in one piece.

Sleeves are picked up and worked in the round.
Button bands are worked flat and joined as you go.

Italian tubular cast-on and bind-off (optional)

Notes

The textured lower section is ideal for using small amounts of yarn from your stash.

You can easily adjust body and sleeve length to your preference.

High Tide Cardigan

High Tide es una chaqueta pensada para disfrutar del proceso tanto como del resultado.
Tejida de arriba hacia abajo, combina vueltas cortas y diferentes texturas que hacen que cada etapa sea dinámica y entretenida.

Su silueta boxy, cómoda y atemporal la convierte en una prenda fácil de llevar, mientras que la parte inferior texturizada te invita a jugar con pequeños restos de hilo y crear combinaciones únicas.

Funciona igual de bien con hilados suaves y delicados que con fibras más rústicas, dando como resultado una prenda cálida y envolvente, con un aire invernal muy especial.

En las fotos se muestra la talla 3 con aprox. 10 cm / 4” de holgura positiva.

Para elegir tu talla, mide tu contorno de busto y añade la holgura deseada.
También puedes medir un cárdigan que ya te guste para guiarte.

Agujas

Tejido principal:
Agujas circulares de 4.0 mm

Muestra de tensión

20 p y 32 vtas = 10 x 10 cm en punto andaluz (bloqueado)
18 p y 32 vtas = 10 x 10 cm en punto English Rose Tweed (bloqueado)

Comprueba la muestra en ambas texturas.

Construcción

Se trabaja en plano de arriba hacia abajo.

La espalda y los delanteros se trabajan por separado para dar forma a los hombros con vueltas cortas y luego se unen en la sisa. El cuerpo se teje en plano en una sola pieza.

Las mangas se recogen y se trabajan en circular.
Las tapetas se tejen en plano y se unen sobre la marcha.

Notas

La parte inferior texturizada es ideal para aprovechar pequeños restos de hilo.

Puedes ajustar fácilmente el largo del cuerpo y de las mangas.
