This pattern is worked top-down on two circular needles, but double pointed or magic loop could also be used. Written for 70 or 74 stitches but could be adjusted to a smaller or larger cast-on. The cables do pull in a bit, though, so consider a larger number of stitches or a larger needle. I used 2.5 mm needles for my sock, but 2.0 - 2.5 could be used. A Fleegle heel is used - fun and easy, no picking up gusset stitches.
