This two color knit cowl has cute picot edges, plus some fun lace and slipped-stitch colorwork stitches to keep you interested. Inspired by the historic Hildebrandt Building in Cleveland where Sarah of Superfine Yarn Co has her yarn dyeing studio.

This pattern includes both charts and written instructions.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Approx. 30–32 in (76–81 cm) circumference and 13 in (33 cm) wide

YARN REQUIRED Approx. 100 g (3.5 oz)/231 yards (211 m) of DK weight yarn in each of two colors (200 g 7 oz/462 yards 422 m total)

SUGGESTED YARN Two skeins of Superfine Yarn Co W 25th St MCN DK weight yarn in two colors (I used Lunar white and Chambord purple), or other DK weight or light worsted weight yarn
SUGGESTED NEEDLES US 6 (4 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge

NOTIONS Two sets of circular needles in size needed to obtain gauge, ring stitch markers, 1 locking stitch marker, tapestry needle, scissors, crochet hook and scrap or waste yarn for provisional cast on

GAUGE 18 st and 30 rows = 4 in (10 cm) in stockinette stitch in the round, blocked (exact gauge is not crucial, but knitting in a different gauge may affect yarn requirements and finished measurements)

SKILLS REQUIRED knowledge of basic knitting stitches including simple increases and decreases, knitting in the round, crochet provisional cast on, slipping stitches, carrying yarn up the inside of your work, picking up stitches, reading charts (optional)
