A swirling stream of cables runs through the center of this highly textural shawl, which is framed on all sides by a lace and cable border.

This shawl is knit from one tip to the other, increasing until half the yarn is used, then decreasing to the opposite side.

Gauge is not critical for this pattern, but using a different yarn weight or needle size will affect the size of the finished shawl. The sample for this shawl is made with a DK weight yarn, but knitters should feel free to experiment with using lighter or heavier yarns and adapting the number of pattern repeats.

Instructions are both written and charted.
