This adorable stuffed bunny is worked flat in two main pieces with an embroidered face, pompom tail, and finished off with a bow. It features a simple cabled tummy that could be a great foray into trying cables for the first time without the commitment of a big project. This little cutie makes the perfect addition to an Easter basket or layette for a special little someone.

Skill Level: Intermediate
skills needed:
cast on, knit, purl, bind off, seaming, basic embroidery, beginner cables (good first cable project)

Sizes:
one size – with recommended yarn, finished size is approximately 8” {20 cm} tall
For a larger or smaller bunny, try substituting recommended yarn for a heavier or lighter weight.

Materials:
• Yarn: Berroco Ultra Alpaca, approx. 40 yards
shown in color 6206 light gray;
• US 7 {4.5 mm} needles
• tapestry needle
• embroidery floss or contrast yarn scraps for face
• stuffing/fiber fill
• row counter (optional)
• cable needle (optional)
• approx. 10” {24 cm} ribbon for bow

Gauge:
24 sts x 29 rows = 4” {10 cm} square in stockinette on US 7 {4.5 mm} needles

Gauge is not important for this project. However, you should work tight for the yarn you choose so that there are not gaps in the
stitches after stuffing. Substituting thinner or thicker yarn and
changing gauge will result in a smaller or larger finished bunny.
