I live in a season-less country, but I always imagine living in a 4 seasons country, like Japan. Summer is colorful and some flowers are blooming beautifully, like the sunflower. Himawari is the Japanese word for sunflower. In Indonesia, we call it “bunga matahari” (bunga: flower, matahari: the sun).

Himawari is a seamless top down semi-crescent shaped shawl with a stockinette body and lace edging that knitted sideways to add feminine details and airy feeling.

This shawl is specially designed for @lul_blossom, an Instagram group account that gathers Japanese fresh designers. It’s my first contribution to the group and also my very first shawl design.
