This is a custom-knit hat. You will knit it according to your head measurements to get the best fit for you, using a simple formula. Once you figure out your size, you can make many hats with different stitch patterns and they will always fit you perfectly.

It is knitted in the round using big needles and bulky yarn, so it can be finished in an hour if you are an intermediate knitter. It is a beginner’s hat but I have labelled it as intermediate just because you need to do some work up front before you start to knit.

It has a faux fur pom-pom attached at the crown so it looks very cool. For a more slouchy look, just knit longer for the body of the hat, and then start shaping the crown. If you want it more fitted to look like a beanie, make the body of the hat shorter. It’s customizable.

I have made a matching cowl to go with the hat, so you can have different looks depending on how you feel and how cold it is outside. The cowl is long enough to be worn twice around the neck. The pattern for the cowl is included as a bonus.
