I searched for a chunky blanket, knit in one piece with some visual interest, but basic enough for TV knitting. When I couldn’t find it, I decided to come up with my own. It’s based on a pattern from Simple Knits for Easy Living by Erika Knight. The Squares Throw always intrigued me, but I wasn’t keen to sew up all the squares.

This blanket works up to a nice, personal size for one adult: 31 inches by 63 inches. Use any worsted weight yarn held double.
