Terminology: US crochet terms

Skill level: Confident Beginner / Intermediate

Gauge/Tension: Each side of the embossed flower triangle
should measure 8 inches (20.32 cm). Adjust hook size if needed.

Yarn: I used Stylecraft DK, but any similar weight yarn will work.

Hook size: Recommended 4 mm for Stylecraft DK. I used a 3 mm hook for a denser fabric, and I’ve also made this hat with a 2.5 mm hook.

Colours: The sample head scarf used 9 different colours! This project is a wonderful stash-buster. The flowers can be a bit yarn-hungry, so mix and match however you like and have fun experimenting with colour combinations.

Notions: Yarn needle (bodkin), scissors

Notes:
I crochet tightly for a dense fabric, so adjust your hook size if your squares measure differently. Sew in your ends as you go for a neater finish.
