This little crocheted Hippo Pajama Eater is the perfect way to store those pajamas that often fall to the floor each morning. What started as a cute way to encourage wearing the same pajamas for a couple of nights as well as keeping them off the floor and in one spot on their bed or dresser (inside the mouth of this cute little pajama eater) has turned into a way to keep all sorts of treasures safe in such a kid friendly way.

Pajamas, candy, fingernail polish and hair ties are a few of the things my daughters have found to fill this little guy. I even hung one in my pantry to hold plastic shopping bags!

This little guy measures apx. 10 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide.

Changing the Hook size or yarn thickness will change the overall size of the pajama eater.

This project uses approximately one half of a skein of yarn for the body and even less for the lips and hair.

Materials needed:
yarn
H hook
black buttons
polyfil
