Hiraeth is now available as a kit from Craftsy !

Hiraeth is a Welsh term that, loosely translated, conveys a homesickness or longing for somewhere you cannot return or that perhaps never was. I designed this wrap with that in mind, the colors conjuring thoughts of ocean, cliffs and sand.
Likewise, Hiraeth provides that perfect scarf that you’re always looking for, but never find--light enough for a variety of weather, but warm and soft to ward away the chill. The pattern alternates between interesting and challenging stitches, to the relaxing, automatic stitches we all love.

Uses approximately 915 yards of fingering-weight yarn.
Color A: 250 yards
Color B: 215 yards
Color C: 450 yards

Sample was made using Anzula Cloud in colorways Seaside, Storm and Sexy.

While lovely in contrasting colors, you could also choose to work this wrap in a single color, allowing the different patterns and textures to speak for themselves.

Gauge is not critical for this item, feel free to go up or down a size needle to achieve the density of fabric that is most comfortable for you.
