Hither Hills is one of my very favorite places on Long Island. If you haven’t been camping on the ocean, it’s quite the experience!

Hither Hills is a generously sized, asymmetrical triangular shawl. Using 3 colors of fingering weight yarn, the bold striped garter is balanced with feminine lace.

Instructions are both written and charted.

Construction Notes:
The shawl is worked from the tip to the opposite edge.

Skills Used:
• increasing
• decreasing
• lace
• reading charts (optional)

• Shown in Quince & Co. Tern, colors Driftwood (A), Barnacle (B) and Rose Quartz (C)

• 221 yds 202m of fingering weight yarn (A)
• 200 yds 183m of fingering weight yarn (B)
• 370 yds 339m of fingering weight yarn (C)

The Color A skein was used almost in its entirety – you may want to have extra on hand just in case.

A note about gauge:
Gauge is not critical to this project’s construction, however a change in gauge will affect the finished measurements and the yarn requirements.
