Hjarta is an Icelandic lopapeysa-inspired pullover. The yoke is sprinkled with hearts of all sizes for extra love for the wearer, be it yourself or a dear one. It begins and ends with interesting colorwork and has a smooth-sailing stockinette middle that flies by in no time. There are two options for neckline treatment: a simple ribbed hem, or a more substantial folded ribbed hem that is sewn down. The optional, but highly recommended, tubular cast-on reduces the number of stitches you have to cast on by half (!) and results in a luscious, plump edging that’s stretchier than you’d expect.
