MATERIALS
Approximately 1100, 1150, 1200, (1600, 1650, 1700, 1770)yds / 1010, 1050, 1100, (1460, 1500, 1550, 1600)m of fingering weight yarn.

GAUGE
4”/10cm in stockinette = 24.5 sts and 34 rows

I suggest swatching to find a fiber that has a lot of drape in this gauge. I like to use wool blended with a bit of alpaca, which provides a lustrous drape and a soft halo.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
US 4 (3.5mm) circular needle 24” - 40” circular
(^^This is your body needle, so choose a cable length appropriate for the # of sts required for your size. Also, when working the yoke, you may move from a 40” to a 24” as the raglan decreases demand.)
US 3 (3.25mm) 16” circular (Collar)
US 3 (3.25mm) 32” circular/DPN (Sleeve ribbing)

Stitch markers (removable and stationary)
Small tapestry needle
Stitch holders / scrap yarn

PATTERN NOTES
This A-line sweater is worked in one piece from the bottom up, beginning with a garter-stitch hem shaped by increases, decreases and short rows.

The ¾-length sleeves are worked separately, then joined to work the yoke. The pattern provides options for tapered ¾- and full-length sleeves as well.

The sweater pictured in this pattern is knit using a 50/50 blend of Blue-faced Leicester wool and Alpaca I dyed myself!
