This was a free pattern until December 30, 2013. The free pattern (version 9.26.10) has the instructions to make one size (small) in fingering weight yarn and is no longer available unless you have it in your Ravelry library. The current pattern contains instructions to make 3 sizes in either fingering weight yarn or lace weight yarn; the new version has updated written instructions and charts and has been professionally edited.

The free version was available in multiple languages. Those translations are no longer available. The paid pattern is available only in English.

Please note that the pattern does not include instructions for adding beads to the shawl.

Holden is a classic top-down triangular shawl. Inspired by the waves breaking along the shore, the shawl features wavy lace and is finished with a lovely picot edge.

The small and large versions of the shawl are shown in Malabrigo Sock in Aguas (small) and Cote d’ Azure (large). The medium version of the shawl is shown in Malabrigo Lace in Emerald Blue.

This pattern has been professionally tech edited by Heather Zoppetti. The pattern includes both written and charted instructions.
