The Holi Socks were designed with variegated sock yarn in mind, as I wanted an alternative to plain vanilla socks which would still show off my growing stash of indie dyed yarns. The name Holi was inspired by the festival of colour (Holi Festival) and embraces my love for the vibrant colourways in indie dyed sock yarns. It is simple enough to show off a busy yarn, but interesting enough to keep you knitting for hours!

Construction:
There are instructions available for both a toe up contruction and a cuff down construction. Both versions feature a heel flap and gusset, and a simple textured pattern. The pattern uses magic loop, but can also be adapted to use DPNs.

Sizes:
There are 2 sizes available: Medium (60sts) and Large (72sts).

Yarn:
300-400yds of fingering weight yarn.

Needle sizes:
2.25mm / US 1 (or any to obtain gauge)

Gauge:
30 sts / 42 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in stockinette stitch
