These fitted mitts are knit in the round from wrist to fingers with a gusset worked in for the thumb. Stitches are placed on hold for the thumb and then picked up later
The magic happens when you add a sweet little motif using duplicate stitch. Three options are charted here, but the possibilities are endless.
I added a little bobble for the bunny tail which is not in the instructions.

Pattern begins with cuff and is knit in the round to the fingers. Use double points, magic loop or two circulars, whichever you prefer for knitting small circumference in the round.
Waste yarn is placed where the thumb will be and is removed later to knit the thumb.
Duplicate stitch colorwork is charted only.

Size
About 8 inches circumference and 9.5 inches long.

Yarn
STRANDEDcolor by ewe2yarn, 100% hand dyed wool. Each skein is 20g/90yds/82m, fingering, untreated.
You will need one skein of the base color for each hand (2 skeins total), and 1-2 yards of the colors needed for your motif.

Needles and Notions
US size 3 needles of your choice for working in the round. Or needle size to obtain gauge.
One stitch marker, darning needle, and smooth waste yarn.

Gauge
28 sts and 30 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette.

Happy Knitting!!
