This cowl is a companion cowl to the Holly Go Lightly Hat. I love a cowl with a stiff fabric that stands up instead of draping. The Cascade Aran yarn on slightly smaller needles than normal creates just that fabric and gives extra warmth while the merino is soft and squishy. I love the yarn and the colors it comes in. Aran weight has been a little forgotten in the Bulky Boom of late. Bulky is not great for stranding but Aran works which is why I still love it!

Note: all after-stitching is optional. Sizes are ( Tighter, Looser )
Any yarn that gives gauge can be substituted, and any colors can be substituted as desired.
