Needles

  • US #3 / 3.25 mm or change needle to obtain gauge in Stockinette Stitch
  • Also, 1 size larger needle (or change needle to obtain gauge in Colorwork Stitch)

Gauge

  • 24 sts x 34 rows = 4” x 4” / 10 cm x 10 cm in stockinette stitch in smaller needle
  • 30 sts x 28 rows = 4” x 4” / 10 cm x 10 cm in colorwork stitch in larger needle
  • If you cannot get gauge for both Stockinette Stitch and Colorwork Stitch with your yarn, it is more important to get the correct Stockinette Stitch. Modification notes are added in instructions for different colorwork gauge than listed with some simple calculations involved.
