Believe it or not, but this is the shawl I wear most (winter version styled as my daughter did for the summer version). I wear it all the time in winter with my jacket and washed it in the washer quite a few times. It still looks good!

With its slightly crescent shape, the shawl sits comfortably on the shoulders. The shawl is worked from the neck center out allowing easy size adjustments.

I used scraps of a matching solid color yarn for the last mesh section and the last three rows of the border to create subtle stripes.

I used this pattern to make a large winter version of the shawl in light worsted weight yarn (NaturallyCaron.com Country) (approx. 525 yd).
