Written for the advanced knitter, new techniques are minimal. This design is more about making a different style sweater designed to compliment your body. If you’ve knit a few pullover sweaters and are aware of your body measurements and ideal lengths — this sweater is for you. I discourage you from trying this as your first sweater because we’re going outside normal sweater construction.+

Construction: This is knit raglan (top-down) and includes splitting for sleeves. You start ribbing in the middle of the back as you get closer to the bind off of the top of the back opening. The body and sleeves are knit separately. Sleeves are held on stitch holders until ready to knit. While you are splitting for sleeves, you are also changing to the secondary color. When you get to the bottom of the body, before the ribbing, you cross the two back panels. This is done by alternating and reorganizing live stitches from both needles. All ribbing is completed in the main color. The top of the back opening is finished using a single crochet stitch or i-cord edging.

Sizing: based on bust size (31”, 33”, 35”, 37”, 39”, 41”) 43”.+ Plan for 1-2” of positive ease after blocking.

Yardage: Worsted (for the top of the sweater, ribbing and cuffs): (170, 205, 240, 275, 310, 350) 390

Suri/Mohair & Fingering held double (for the body and sleeves): (500, 510, 520, 530, 540, 550) 560 each

Yarn: Main color (worsted). Original made in The Yarn Addict Co. (TYACo) Hollywood Glam Whipped Worsted (218 yds/skein).

Secondary colors (lace and fingering weight held together to create worsted weight). Originally made in TYACo Dried Roses Suri (328 yds/skein) & Fresh Fingering (463 yds/skein).

+: As this sweater is about complimenting different body shapes, I’m releasing bust sizes 43” to 61” in their own pattern Winter of 22-23. Body inclusivity is very important to me as a curvy woman and the second pattern of this design will focus on different fit considerations than this pattern release. Keep an eye out for the test knitter call.
