This pattern contains two versions, a beanie and a slouchy. While they look similar, they are not the same. They are sisters, not twins, and I love it!

I wanted to come up with a textured hat that was simple and intuitive.
As a slow knitter, I found it knit up quickly and still gave the fun texture that I was looking for.
The subtly of the twisted knit stitches along with the diamonds shaped with purl stitches gives it
interest without having too complex of a fabric or overwhelmingly busy. The rapid decreasing at the
crown adds to the uniqueness. This hat practically knits itself!
You can knit this hat up with tonal, speckled, or variegated yarn. It’s reversible too!
I love how versatile this hat can be.

There is no specific size or gauge for the pattern, it is an adult one size fits all. You may need to go up or down a needle size depending on your choice of yarn and knitting style (tight or loose knitter).

For this pattern you will need 80-100 grams of DK or Fingering (held double) weight yarn.
Sizes 4 (3.5mm) and 7 (4.5mm) 16” circular or longer for magic loop method, as well as size 7 (4.5mm) DPN’s or 32” circular for magic loop method.
You will also need 7 stitch markers and a tapestry needle.
