The pattern includes a list of materials, instructions to create each piece of the hedgehog, and a few tips for assembly. I have added pictures to help guide you along the way and to show close ups of each piece.

DIFFICULTY: Intermediate

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Magic ring/circle
  • Single crochet
  • Double crochet
  • Slip stitch
  • Popcorn stitch (tutorial included)
  • Increases
  • Invisible and traditional decreases
  • Crocheting in the round

MATERIALS:

  • Cotton worsted weight yarn in tan and brown. I use Lily Sugar’n Cream in Jute and Warm Brown.
  • A size C 2.75mm hook
  • 8mm safety eyes
  • Polyester fiberfill
  • Scissors
  • Yarn/tapestry needle
  • Stitch marker
  • Sewing pins
  • Black embroidery thread

The finished product is approximately 10cm (4”) tall and 15 cm (6”) long.
