This pattern is a twist on the traditional Canadian maritime thrum mitten with the addition of a gorgeous honeycomb cable. Thrumming fills the inside of the mitt with fuzzy fleece that makes them toasty warm and water resistant!

The pattern includes charts with accompanying written instructions. There is also a link to a video thrumming tutorial that shows how to pull the thrums (preparing them to use in the project) and how to thrum.

These mittens were designed with Fleece Artist Chinook yarn & merino sliver roving for thrumming. You can purchase a Fleece Artist Kit (which includes yarn, roving, and a link download this pattern) on their website: www.fleeceartist.com

This is an intermediate- advanced pattern that requires knowing how to knit in the round and cable.
