This is a pattern for a pair of socks. It is made using a cable stitch interspersed with knit/purls to achieve a both a ribbed and cabled sock. If you’ve wanted to try your hand at cabling, this is a a good cable to try as it is 2-stitch cable. It also lends itself to learning to cable without a cable needle. Since this is a ribbed pattern, it is almost a one size fits all, (other than lengths), but there are directions for all sizes (small, medium and large) contained within the pattern. This pattern is written for two circular needles.

The sock shown in the sample is made with Poet Seat Merino Silk Sock yarn from the Kangaroo Dyer, (http://www.etsy.com/shop/kangaroodyer), in the colorway Dragon Fire. This yarn is a dream to knit with and to wear, and the dye job is incomparable.

The pattern was expertly test knitted by Danie Evans (Woven Pixel)
