This is a fun and fast, advanced beginner to intermediate pattern. You will need 2 different color yarns. The yarn I used is Cestari - Old Dominion Collection of 100% virginia cotton, 3 ply DK weight with 100gm-250 yds per skein. I chose 1 skein of color Sunflower and 1 skein of color Cottonfield White. Approximately 100 to 150 yds were used. Tools needed: G6/4mm hook, sizzers, blunt tapestry needle for weaving in ends and a stitch marker to hold your place when taking a break. My finished size was 9 inches across. I used this pattern to make a trivet for my kitchen. You’ll see in the photo I added a 5ch loop in the last corner to be able to hang on a hook. This hexagon is versatile. Blankets, coasters, washcloths, placemats are just a few ideas. Enjoy.
