A classic knit beanie with a simple twist will give you this beauty!

This pattern was written with the assumption that you have a basic understanding of knitting.

The pattern features a stitch count for newborns, youth/teen, and adult sizes. There is a sizing chart for any adjustments. The guide tells you the band’s width and the hat height making gifting easy.

In addition to the traditional pattern, there are two more PDFs for low vision knitters.

What makes this pattern better for knitters with low vision?

This pattern has two PDFs; one is white font on black paper while the other is black font on white paper.
The size of the font has been increased to 18pt.
The font used was developed specifically to be easier to read for people with low vision.
Margins are increased
All photos remain but are increased in size
Line spacing is increased
Letter spacing is increased
Words per page are decreased
Decorative/Cursive fonts are removed (except on the cover photo)
Pale fonts and unnecessarily colored font is removed
Punctuation is emphasized
Knitting Chart size is increased

All of these changes come from research into making literature accessible and from the suggestions made by a group of knitters with visual impairments. This pattern was tested by three knitters with visual impairments and their notes were taken into account during the final editing.
