This pattern is for the Hooded Criss Cross Crochet Cowl by Colourful Crochet.

This pattern would suit a patient beginner or intermediate crocheter.

It has a step by step photo guide which showcases different crochet stitches while working in the round. It has been pattern tested in March 2017.

Some stitches used:

Sc, Dc, Xtr (crossed triple crochet, tutorial provided)

Cowl: 18cm wide by 128cm
Hood: 28cm high x 47cm wide
Gauge: approx 7 x Xtr to 13 cm or 22 x sc to 13 cm

Approx 150 grams of 8ply yarn.

I use Stylecraft Special DK yarnColour Empire, but you can use any yarn you like. If you use thinner or thicker yarn you will need to adjust your gauge accordingly to suit you.

Hood requires some assembly using wip stitch which is illustrated in the pattern.

Required:

• 4.5 mm hook
• A darning needle
• Scissors
• Measuring tape
• Stitch Markers (at least 3)
