I created this poncho for it to be used as a costume base to create all types of characters.
The numbers in bold after repeat rounds are there so you can mark off your progress as you go.
Invisible decreases are used throughout.
Use a STM to mark 1st st of every round.
This pattern is written using crochet shorthand. So, instead of the pattern containing instructions like “sc in the next 4 sts” it has been streamlined to “sc x 4” or instead of “inc in the next 3 sts” it is “inc x 3”. This reduces the need for additional lengthy instructions.
Ch’s are not added to final row count unless noted.
This pattern starts holding 3 strands of worsted weight held together for the hood portion. This helps the hood hold its shape and allows modifications to be sewn on.
Each section states how many yarns are used, and the hook size needed for that portion.
