SKEINO’s HOODED SCARF is a combination of scarf and hood. This fun piece is easy to knit. This luscious yarn is DK weight and the fibers are extra fine merino 19.5 micron. The yarn is treated superwash for easy care. The knitter has a choice of many color combinations to choose from. It is up to you to decide which of the two colors become the scarf or the hood. You begin by knitting the scarf lengthwise in an easy basket pattern, knit 3 and purl 3 stitches. The second color adds a stripe to the scarf before you continue working the hood in a 3/3 rib. The hood will be closed using a 3-needle bind off.

You can choose to add three pompoms to your piece, at the tip of the hood in the scarf color and at the ends of the scarf in the hood color.

There are many options to wear the Hooded Scarf. The scarf is long enough to be wound twice around the neck. If you wear the hood in the front it will cover the opening of your jacket or coat and the pompom will show off.

This is a great beginners piece and you will have fun with it when you see the construction growing. Children and Grandchildren will love this piece and you can be sure that they will stay warm in Winter when they wear it.
