R – row
sl – slip stitch
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
FLO – front loop only
BLO – back loop only
( ) – repeat between the ()

Notes
This pattern can be adjusted to any size according to your measurements.
The ch 2 at the beginning of each row does not count as a stitch and the 1st hdc is in made in the same stitch at the ch 2. Make sure the 2 FLO and 2 BLO match up to the previous row as this creates the pattern of the scarf and hood.
