Hop and a Skip is a fun, cabled cowl pattern, worked up in a blend of Corriedale wool and Angora fibers. It is perfect for springtime because of its softness, warmth, and breathability. The pattern provides both written instructions and charted instructions for the cable section of the pattern. The rest of the pattern is written instructions. Enjoy knitting this lovely cowl & keeping warm wherever you go!

Gauge
24 sts x 36 rnds = 4” 10 cm in cable pattern, in-the-round, after blocking

Notes
1. Cowl is worked top-down,
in-the-round, beginning with a
2x2-ribbed edge.
2. Cable panel is worked with larger
circ for the main body of the cowl.
3. A 2x2-ribbed edge is worked before
binding off with a simple stretchy
bind-off, which allows the cowl to
easily stretch over the wearer’s
head.
4. Optionally, knitters who prefer a
looser cowl that drapes lower on the
neck can cast-on 132 stitches for a
larger circumference. If worried
about running out of yarn, I
recommend working 1-2 fewer cable
chart repeats.
